What We Do

The mission of the Lafayette Adult Resource Academy (LARA) is to prepare students aged 16 and older for a high school credential, college, and career. The Lafayette Adult Resource Academy has been in service for over 35 years. Our program has continuously evolved to meet the needs of our community and a changing workforce in the 21st century. LARA continues to provide family literacy, but has grown to include a large ESL program, high school credentialing, workforce certifications, and college and career readiness. It is an exceptionally exciting volunteer experience to get to know students who demonstrate the courage and commitment to improve life for themselves and their families through education.
